Procedure

Step 1

Plug in tesla coil.

Step 2

Turn on or up the tesla coil.

Step 3

Touch tesla coil to end of gas filled tube.

 Step 4

Touch Magnet to the cathode ray.

 Safety

Warning Do not touch yourself or anyone else with the tesla coil while it is on.

Do not drop gas filled tubes.

Do not drop tesla coil.

Be careful when turning on the tesla coil.

 PPhilo T. Farnsworth

Date discoverd 1928

 

Philo T. Farnswoth was born on August 9, 1906, in Beaver, Utah, and died on March 11, 1971. Philo's electronic inventions took all of the moving parts out of televisions and made possible today's TV industry, the TV shots from the moon, and satellite pictures. He was educated in Utah and Idaho public school systems and went to Brigham Young University. He left after two years due to the death of his father, and soon afterword enrolled in Crocker Research Laboratories in San Fransico. At the age of twenty he invented the first all-electric television image. He also invented the first cold cathode ray tubes and the first simple electronic microscope. When he died at age 64 he held more than 300 U.S. and foreign patents.
